Customer Care

Majan places great importance on customers' relations. Customers services department plays a major role in providing high quality services and study the needs of customers demand and satisfaction. This role is accomplished through the three sections of customer services, customer account and metering unit.
The key deliverables of customers services include the execution of Bulk Supply Agreement with PWP, management of meter reading, billing and collection contract, carryout energy sales projection buy customer category and region wise. The department also manages the meter workshop and implements energy meter routine inspection and maintenance cycle. 
Majan established call centers in the authorized areas to receive the customer's complements and enquires throughout the day. Thirty staff are responsible to perform this duty.  

REVENUE FROM SALE OF ELECTRICITY

The main source of revenue for Majan Electricity Company (S.A.O.C) is from sale of electricity to customers. MJEC customers are distributed in North Batinah, Buraimi province and Al Dahirah regions. The revenue from sale of electricity during 2007 was O.R 30,693,998 comparing with O.R 25,594,544 in 2006 with a growth of 18. %. The major increase was in commercial sector (53%), where Majan generated O.R 8.324 Million (2006, RO. 5.4 Million). The highest revenue earned in 2007 was form Domestic sector (R.O. 14 million) which represents 46 % of the total revenue followed by commercial sector with a percentage of 27.5%.

Energy Distributed

Majan's core business is to manage electricity network through distribution and supply of electricity to their customers in the authorized areas. Majan purchased 2,700,427 MWh in the year of 2007 with cost of O.R 28,403,572 while it purchased 2,283,121 MWh in 2006 with cost of O.R. 28,905,035.
 In 2007, it distributed 2,154,076 MWh to its 118,836 customers in the authorized areas with an increases of 14 % from previous year. The highest MWh distributed was to Domestic sector with a percentage of 59.8% from the total with an increase of 6.6% from 2006.  MWh distributed to Commercial sector was 19.4% from the total MWh with increases of 53% from previous year. The lowest MWh distributed was to Tourism sector which only represent 0.4% from the total MWh.
